Mr. Trevor J White, [better known as Rev. Asang (“light” in the Dusun language)] from England, who brought with him sawmilling equipment and carpentry skills in addition to his overriding purpose of evangelizing the natives of Borneo.
Trevor White’s story is amazing as if it was a dream. He came to North Borneo in 1939 as a young man from Draycott, Somerset, England. Trevor was incarcerated by the Japanese during the World War 2. After the war he went back to England and he returned to Borneo in 1946. Trevor started evangelizing the animists and idol-worshiping Dusuns in the interior of Borneo.
May 31, 2006 is the funeral of J Trevor White. He was the first and last frontier missionary of the Kadazan-Dusun community, the largest indigenous group in Sabah (North Borneo).

Berdoa untuk kebangunan rohani dalam negeri kita. TUHAN pasti akan melakukannya apabila kita mula perpaling dari rancangan-rancangan sendiri kepada rancangan-rancangan yang TUHAN mahu kita lakukan.
